Angie day9# I feel so bad for callie because she died and she is only 7 years old. And she had a really bad way of dying. I mean who wants to die that painful way. I think Mary Bell is being childish from running away then howling. You have to face your fears not run away from them. I thought the funeral home name was weird - "loveing and gay" - gay is another name for happy. Why would you be happy at a funeral home? Happy blogging. Lauren Day 9. This book is getting really sad. I cannot believe Callie DIED!!! That is super sad and it really surprised me. I agree with some of you guys, I kept hoping she would come back to life. I think Mary Belle ran away because she was so stressed out about Callie and needed time to breathe. I also feel bad for Mary Belle because after Callie died, Mary Belle had to return to an empty room. Samantha, I think that they shaved Callie's hair off because they need to get to her skull and brain. I also think she might have had a brain tumor because of all the tubes that were attached to her head. Alexis, I think that the people in the gray suits were doctors to help Callie. I also found a simile on page 141 paragraph 2 "like flowers after a hard rain storm." I found another simile on page 142 paragraph 3 " like snails leave across the porch at night." I wonder what it is like to see a snail leave across the porch at night, I always find slugs, but they are SO gross! Did anyone cry when they found out Callie died? I did a little. Alexis day 9 Well today I think that it will be one of the worst days for reading this book. The author I am guessing that she is one of those people who are telling a story that probably really happed and she wants to write threw a story. So Callie dies and I would think the author does one of those thing where it is so predictable and no she doesnt. I really do like how she does. You know that mery will be sad and run away to like a restaurant or something. No she runs to a moutain. That was really really creative! I really like how she did that. So i think that it really wasn't nice for miss dearly to sleep in Callie's bed. Mary might need company but you dont have to sleep in her dead sisters bed. That is a mistake. So now Mary I'd getting treated like a a person who is really relaxed and is doing nothing. I love it. She lost her sister and she really needs all the love she csn get. I know that arial he also lost his siter to. I do feel bad for him but I don't know how he feels right now. So I hope that they get threw. I too know how it feels to lose someone. It really doesn't feel the best. But I think that it would hurt more if it was your sister. I lost my grandmother. Lauran the word satisfied mean that you are happy with something. How do you guys think that Ariel and Amarius found out Mary Belle was hiding there? It was really sad when Calliie was dead. I think it would be weird for you to put something that you like in a casket because the person who died will not get to see it. It was like o my when Mary Belle said she hasn't changed Callie's sheets since mama left and that's probably how she got really sick and died. Something might have got on her bed and she was sleeping in it for years now and it could have been a really bad sickness or a dieses. I'm glad Miss Dearly brougth got and clean sheet because she might have got what Callie got or Mary Belle could have got it. It was nice of Miss Dearly to let Mary Belee borrow one of her night gowns. What do you guys think Miss Dearly gave to Mary Belle to drink? It was like what we do iin English when we take out a word and replace it when Miss Dearly said "To bed" normally we say"Go to bed." Does anybody know what the food caviar is? It was nice of Ariel to comfort Mary Belle when she was crying but it was weird when he said "I know,honey" don't you guys agree? Lauren, Mary Belle did not write a letter to mama she just was thinking of ways to write a letter to mama if she would send it but she didn't really send the letter but that's a good question. Shane,I don't know what those tubes were for either they might have been to get my oxegen to her but otherwise I don't know. Alexis I totally agree with you about the question why is Callie hair all gone but you know how when you have cancer you get the medicine that makes your hair fall out Callie might have had cancer. Grace I get what you mean they never go out and say something they always say a different word like grave. Moriah I agree with you that the book is probably just gonna about Callie dying. Hope this book gets better! 1 more day of blogging! Happy Blogging:) Moriah Day #9: I get what you mean Grace, because using the words in heaven can get sort of over used a lot. Am I wrong on that or did I get that right? It was man vs himself when Mary Belle kept correcting her ideas when she was deciding to run away. I found an example of personification when Mary Belle was saying her body wasn’t obeying her commands to run more. But at the same time, it isn’t really that much personification because your body does sort of listen to your commands which come from your brain so, yeah. This part of the book reminds me of Hatchet because it involves someone lost and alone in a forest. I don’t know about anyone else in this group but I seriously am crying at this moment (7:26 PM June 4, 2012) mostly because of Callie being dead, but it is more sad when you’re listening to music from the Hunger Games soundtrack! How do you wash your body, in a sink? That sounds really fishy to me!

Lauren day 7 Cali was very sick and I think she's in a coma because she doesn't wake up to anyone's voices. A note from Mama: I think. Mary Belle was very happy to have a letter because she finally gets to hear from Mama. Does anyone know what the word 'satisfied' mean? It's on page 123, paragraph 6. I would feel really sad if I my mom left and I slept in her bed. Do any of you guys know if Mary Belle really wrote a note to Mama? I think this is a personification on page 114, paragraph 2 as if my eyes were watching me. I feel bad for Cali. She's sick all the time and I think it's because their mom isn't there. Shane day 8 HI,Angie yes i agree with you i don't miss the mother either because she has no respect and left the kids at a very young age. In chapters 15 and 16, I can't believe that Callie needs special care and she is in the special care room. I was surprised that Mary Belle snuck into the room that Callie was in without a nyone seeing her. I guess no one is allowed to visit Callie, except for the nurses. I can't believe that Callie's head got shaved, and she has no hair!! I wonder what the tubes are for that are coming in and out of callie's head. Do you know? I feel bad for Callie. I found a simile on page 128 "they all stared at me as a monkey in a zoo." Shane day 6 I think Mary Belle says Lord a lot, Lauren, because maybe she heard her mom say it a lot when she was there. Samantha, callie didn't fit into her dress anymore because she lost weight because they don't have food and she can't eat. Moriah, i agree with you, I hope Callie does not die. Chapters 11 and 12 are sad because it is about Callie being sick. Mary Belle wanted to believe that Callie was o.k., but I think she was just trying to tell Callie that so she didn't worry. I think Mary Belle is starting to figure it out, that Callie is really sick. Maybe there was something in the food that Callie ate that one day, and she got food poisoning. I think Amarius may be getting some vegetable food for Callie to make her feel better. I think he will tell his wife about Callie being sick. This book makes me think of the music video “Just a Dream” by Carrie Underwood because it is sad and depressing and someone dies in it and a lot of people are crying, A LOT. Don’t you think so Angie? I wonder if Callie has a brain tumor, because if they have tubes coming from her head then they must be doing some type of exam on her brain. Angie day7# i am really not liking this mother at all. everyone might miss her but i do not. she is just so mean for leaving her kids at those younge ages. i think i know why she said take extra care of callie. i think she had an idea that callie might get sick.i really hope callie is ok.i hope she survives.i cant believe thier mother is asking for the money she left them there with to survive and she is just asking for it all back fir a silly dress how consided is that. i just really hope everything turns out right in the end. Frist of all because all she wanted was money and it seemed like she dident want them to no where she was. Well I think she didn't even have. And she probably would have thrown up anyway. So well she is sick and I am so happy that they got a letter from their mom even know no one knows except Mary. I think that if anybody should be asking for money it's Ariel,Callie and Mary Belle because she left them and now all of a sudden she is asking them for oney they are pasically poor.
